On January 5, 1994, Whitney was named Entertainer of The Year at the 26th NAACP Image Awards, held that year in Pasadena, California. She also won Outstanding Female Artist, and The Bodyguard won Outstanding Album and Soundtrack Album the same night – and “I’m Every Woman” won Outstanding Music Video!
