May 9, 1989 (33 years ago) – Aretha Franklin’s album Through The Storm was released containing her duet with Whitney, “It Isn’t, It Wasn’t, It Ain’t Never Gonna Be.” The song was written by Albert Hammond and Diane Warren and the album track was produced by Narada Michael Walden, one of Whitney’s favorite producers at the time. Teddy Riley produced the remix version. The song was released as a single in June of that year.
