August 18, 2009 (13 years ago) “Million Dollar Bill” was released as the first worldwide single from Whitney’s final album, I Look To You. The song was written by Alicia Keys and her husband Kasseem “Swizz Beatz” Dean and samples Loleatta Holloway’s “We’re Getting Stronger” by Norman Harris. The music video was directed by Melina Matsoukas (who also directed the video for “I Look To You”) and was filmed mostly in the Chelsea area of New York City. The song had several remixes including Freemasons, Frankie Knuckles, Peter Rauhofer, Johnny Vicious and others.
