On July 26, 1986 Whitney’s Greatest Love World Tour began an approximately four-month run with an opening date in Columbia, Maryland, at Merriweather Post Pavilion. This was Whitney’s first worldwide tour — she traveled North America through September of that year and then headed to Europe, Asia, and Australia before closing the tour in Hawaii.
