On February 25, 1988 “Where Do Broken Hearts Go” was released as the fourth single from Whitney Houston’s second album, titled Whitney. It became her seventh consecutive #1 single in the U.S., a record for consecutive #1s that stands to this day. The video was directed in and around New York with the train scene filmed in Whitney’s home town of Newark, New Jersey. On tour, Whitney would often perform the song as part of a medley.
