Thirty one years ago this week, Whitney’s “Greatest Love Of All” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was her third consecutive No. 1 and spent three weeks at the top. The song was written by Michael Masser and had originally been recorded by George Benson in the 70s. It remains her third biggest hit after “I Will Always Love You” and “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me).” The B-side of the single was the song “Thinking About You.”
