On January 29, 1994 Whitney’s song “Queen Of The Night” from the film The Bodyguard hit #1 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. Whitney co-wrote the song, along with L.A. Reid, Babyface and Daryl Simmons (with production by L.A. Reid and Babyface). Billboard wrote at the time: “If anyone can successfully bring house music back to pop radio, it’s Houston.” The music video is her full performance from the film.
