October 18, 1991 (29 years ago) – “I Belong To You” was released as the fifth single from Whitney’s I’m Your Baby Tonight album. The song was written by Derek Bramble and Franne Golde and produced by Narada Michael Walden. The music video has some shots from “My Name Is Not Susan” that were not released for that song and former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson makes an appearance. Rolling Stone magazine at the time wrote the production by Narada had “high-end grooves accented by pinballing counterrhythms.” Remixes were done by Shep Pettibone and John Waddell.
