The song was released as the second single from Whitney’s fifth studio album, Just Whitney, and famously features a sample of The Isley Brothers’ “Between The Sheets.” In their posthumous list of Whitney’s 25 Best Songs, Entertainment Weekly rated “One Of Those Days” at #19.
