The song, which Whitney has stated was her favorite song, became a massive hit worldwide and is her third most popular single after “I Will Always Love You” and “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me).”
The music video was filmed at Harlem’s famed Apollo Theater in New York City and includes a cameo appearance by Cissy Houston playing herself.
